Sixteen Tons.

This song is fitting for so many reasons.

Do I feel older? Yep. Deeper in debt? Yep.

Just thinking about the money I don’t have always makes me think of this song.

It’s had its impact on my writing, too, thanks to Joe vs. the Volcano. That’s in All the Men in My Life, which is currently in the editing stage of things.

I was pleased to find the opening credits and this version of the song on youtube.  Eric Burdon’s Sixteen Tons, as seen in Joe vs. the Volcano.

Kabobbles Sing Along is just what I think when I hear songs. I sometimes see images when I hear lyrics, pictures or movies in my head. Sometimes I relate it to stories. My interpretation of the songs and lyrics are probably nothing like their original intent.
