She’s Like the Wind

This is one of those songs I’ve heard dozens of times before and could have applied to many stories, but when I heard it more recently on the radio, it reminded me again. This time, it was screaming Vred and Malina, but I didn’t actually settle in to write anything until today.

I used this part to create my short bit of fic for today:

Can’t look in her eyes
She’s out of my league
Just a fool to believe
I have anything she needs
She’s like the wind

I look in the mirror and all I see
Is a young old man with only a dream
Am I just fooling myself
That she’ll stop the pain
Living without her
I’d go insane

Though I’d argue that I didn’t do much justice to the characters or the lyrics.

I wanted to use this, but it didn’t quite work out:

She leads me through moonlight
Only to burn me with the sun
She’s taken my heart
But she doesn’t know what she’s done

Kabobbles Sing Along is just what I think when I hear songs. I sometimes see images when I hear lyrics, pictures or movies in my head. Sometimes I relate it to stories. My interpretation of the songs and lyrics are probably nothing like their original intent.
