Important News Regarding Serials

I wanted to fix Even Better than Dreams without having to start over from scratch.

I thought I could just add a few more scenes and possibly take some out and that would fix things.

I have found, however, that it won’t. The issues cannot be patched like that. It needs to be redone from start to finish.

I will be removing it from the site, and I do not believe I will put it back up as a serial. I don’t think that the fixes I had in mind would be enjoyable in a serial format. I will release it as a full novel if I manage to get the underlying problems addressed. If not… Well, it may never see the light of day again.

That said… I don’t want to leave the site without a serial, so I thought I’d ask what people might like to see. I’ve got started or completed projects from all my genres that I could post or I can even start something new.

Just tell me what you’d like to see:

A mystery?
A historical?
A combination?

Here are some stories that I’ve posted bits of from various categories, and I can provide more samples if people are interested. Some of the pieces might not be the best representation of the genre, but they are from longer stories that I would classify in those genres.

Want to Be of Artistic Assistance?

I could use some help in creating a temporary cover art for the pages to introduce my latest serials.

I actually made a couple that I really like, but alas, I don’t have the rights to use those images. So I have to create something that will work in the meantime to make them look nice until the cover artist is able to do a full original piece for them.

Anyway, the two stories in question are A Perfect Sunset and The Stolen Name aka Identity Theft. The first is sort of fantasy, and the second is a historical mystery of sorts set about the end of WWI.

So I have a few stock photos I’m thinking of using as a basis, but I need to narrow them down, and so if you want to give me your input, I’d appreciate it.

I have a lot of possibilities for A Perfect Sunset, but most of them feature the queen (I could go cloaked figures for the Nebkasha) but I could use any of these:

Medieval Dress

I had a hard time finding good ones for the historical. If anyone knows of better ones, let me know.

Pick a Serial

Right now, of course, there are two serials being posted daily, as Complete Consumption and the first part of Fire and Water are done. Inheritance and The Not-So-Super Superhero are still being posted here.

I asked for opinions on what a good choice of a new serial would be, and I was given suggestions of either a fantasy story or a historical fiction/mystery.

So now I have posted bits of each, and I will keep posting new bits daily until the site’s relaunch and the release of the latest Kabobbles ebook happens. There’s time to let me know which one people want to see most.

If, of course, people want both, that’s okay, too.

If another story would interest you more, go ahead and leave a comment to say what it might be.

If you’d prefer to use facebook or twitter to “vote,” that’s fine.
